MSC Magnifica Ship Visit…

I’ve recently been fortunate to have a visit on MSC Magnifica in the port of Tyne when she was recently doing an itinerary around the British Isles and popped into Newcastle for the day.

We had a quick presentation in one of the lounge areas about  MSC and the new ships which I must say look amazing. Then we got to do a ship tour.

She’s 95000 Tons and holds 3223 passengers shes not as big as some of the newer ships in the fleet or competitors, however, I found she was a nice size and had a good choice of facilities and lots of bars and venues.

My first impressions were good you can clearly see the Italian design as the public areas were very colorful and glam. Although she doesn’t have the Swarovski crystal staircase like the newer members of the MSC family she still was very wow with features such as the Tiger bar full-on animal print furniture, and carpet and also a glitzy staircase.

She has three pools one with a retractable roof which is perfect for the Northern Europe itineraries and was certainly getting used whilst I was onboard.  She has 4 whirlpools if you’re feeling energetic she has tennis, a high tech gym, and a jogging track or you could even try mini golf. She also has 10 pin bowling and billiards.

Staterooms were of a good size I saw an inside, ocean view, and balcony they were spacious with plenty of storage. Tea and coffee facilities as standard if sailing from a U.K. port. They did, however, have the dreaded shower curtain which I’m not a lover of however would not be a deal breaker.

They offer fantastic kids club facilities with 5 different kids and teens clubs on board. They also offer amazing child prices up to the age of 17. Been a family owned company they cater very much for family’s and offer very good value for money cruising.

I’ve still got more to tell you so till next time
