Iona P and O’s new addition…

Well is finally here the launch of P & O Iona the largest cruise ship to be built for the British market.

She will hold 5200 guests and have over 15 places to eat that will suit all pallets. They will include 8 specialty restaurants. With more than 10 places to enjoy a drink and enjoy the view of the sea.

New dining venues will feature the Keel and Cow a gastropub serving steaks and delicious craft ales. She will be exclusively freedom dining only, in the four main restaurants. The Quays will be a Piazza offering indoor and outdoor dining with self-service and takeaway venues, to name but a few. So there will be plenty of options for you to choose from whether you like the traditional dining or trying something new. She will still feature regular venues such as the Limelight Club, Beach house, Sindhu and the Epicurean. New venues will be The 710 Club which will be an adult only live music and cocktail venue.

Iona is all about the sea, with lots of innovative spaces where you will be able to appreciate the sea views, this is something I love especially sailing out of stunning locations. The cabin colours are blues and sand again bringing the outside in. New cabin types are the conservatory Mini-suites featuring a lounge a conservatory and a balcony which look stunning.

She will have 4 pools one undercover with a sky-dome roof it will have a retractable stage which will turn into an evening entertainment venue. The 3 story grand Atrium looks stunning and will feature Aerial circus performances and Covent Garden style buskers.

Her inaugural season will be spent in the Norwegian fjords the itineraries have been designed as an introduction to the Fjords and what better way to see a stunning destination on the stunning Iona.
