Cyprus here we come…

Well, it’s time to turn my out of office notifications on…

We’re off to Cyprus! Our niece Sophie is getting married. I’m really looking forward to it as it’s somewhere we haven’t been and It will be lovely to be part of her special day. We’re staying in the resort of Protaras which having worked in travel for many years I have booked so many people. No one has never had a bad word to say about it.

I’m looking forward to having a land-based holiday as our last few holidays have all been cruise’s which I must say I love. We’re flying jet 2 from Leeds Bradford which is about an hour and a half from where we live. It’s an afternoon flight and we arrive late.

Our hotel is beach front and we have upgraded to a sea view room so watch this space for some lovely sunrise shots if I make it up in time… we can walk to fig tree bay in about 15 mins and they say the sea is crystal clear so we will be packing the snorkelling gear in hope of seeing some lovely colourful fish.

The wedding is on the outskirts of Ayia Napa so it’s taxi ride away, which shouldn’t take to long. It’s a late afternoon wedding so hopefully, the temperatures won’t be too high.

Lots of people chose to have a destination wedding as opposed to having a wedding in the UK. It can work out to be reasonable and you get the honeymoon thrown in also. There a lot who would also choose a cruise ship wedding or renewal of vows. Performed by the captain on the ship or often on a beach at one of the ports.
