Ship Visit Oceania Marina

On Friday 27th September I am lucky to have been offered the opportunity to visit the Oceania Marina whilst she is in port at Southampton. I am very excited about this ship visit as having sold Oceania for a few years I have not had the experience of visiting or sailing on one their ships.

So what can I tell you about the Oceania Marina before my visit?:

The ship is a fairly recent ship and came into service in 2011 and at maximum capacity will hold 1258 passengers so is classed as a mid sized ship.

Dining on board Oceania is open dining which gives the flexibility of being able to dine when you choose and there is six main dining venues to choose from. Dress Code on board is elegant country club attire and this means no tracksuits or hoodies but also no ties or suits required.

The ship has a culinary cooking class on board in a cooking demonstration kitchen which has 24 workstations and is based in conjunction with a US Magazine called Bon Appetit. There is a small fee for the classes and you will also get to eat your creations.

Oceania cruises are not all inclusive -but you can have unlimited complimentary soft drinks, bottled water, teas, specialty coffees and juices on every sailing – however you would need to purchase any alcoholic drinks. They do offer two different packages

I am very much looking forward to seeing the ship, the cabins and of course the fabulous lunch they provide. I will be taking my camera so will be uploading photos and more details on the ship on my next blog and my Facebook page.

Fingers crossed for a sunny day in Southampton tomorrow.
