FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD !! On board Oceania Marina

After looking round the stunning Oceania Marina i didn’t think just writing one blog would do the ship justice so have decided to do one on the delicious food and my next one will feature the beautiful cabins.

Whilst on our ship visit we were guided round the ship, shown the public areas, the cabins and the restaurants on board. All restaurants on this ship are open dining which means no set dinner times and dinner is a leisurely pace rather than feeling rushed so the next dining time isn’t delayed.

On this ship you will find the following restaurants:

The Grand Dining Room –  this is where we had lunch and this has a stunning crystal chandelier and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Continental cuisine is on the menu in this restaurant.

Polo Grill – This is the steakhouse on board and all the beef served on board is USDA prime and has and been dry aged for 28 days. You can choose from having Surf and Turf, filet mignon and also a 32oz steak. No extra charge to dine in this restaurant and you receive at least one visit during your cruise.

Privee – This is a hidden secret gem on board and is a private dining experience which must be prebooked. The room can seat a party of 10 and costs $250 for the room for the evening. Each piece of cutlery costs $1000 each and you can choose to either eat from the menu of the Polo Grill or the Toscana restaurants.

La Reserve; This is the restaurant where each course during dinner is paired with wine and is also where wine seminars and tastings take place,

The lunch we received on board had a course from each one of the speciality restaurants and I can thoroughly recommend the Miso Sea bass and the 72 hour cooked short rib.
