A naughty little bit on the side!

I solemnly vowed to my man that I would remain faithful to my promise and be satisfied by one… however, I must confess that my mind has strayed and that I am constantly lured by the excitement of a ‘naughty little bit on the side’…

…and by that, I mean a little mini-cruise or ‘mad-to-say-no-to-deal’, alongside our main holiday, to appease my new appetite for cruising!

We have our main holiday booked for the end of October this year, (a very special family cruise of the Caribbean), and whilst I know that a cruise beforehand is out of the question for us, I have instead now found myself advance-planning our ‘cruise’ for 2020…

‘Cruise’ singular…….; which up until now already consists of a wish-list involving an Easter holidays Mediterranean family-cruise with the kids, potentially another October sunshine-getaway to Dubai & the Middle East perhaps, and maybe a little Spring/Summer cruise from Southampton to sample one of the bigger ships…

In all honesty, there are 101 cruises that have already taken my fancy and turned my head; from Bucket List adventures and Tailor Made voyages, to mini-cruises of the British Isles and Northern Europe, visits to the Norwegian Fjords, the Greek Isles, the Ancient Kingdoms, and of course the iconic transatlantic crossing from Southampton to New York… as well as having my eye on a short mini-break aboard Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 for just the two of us, when we are finally able to set the date for our wedding.

I have to say that for me, one of the most attractive things about cruising is the wide variety in the packages…  mini cruises and getaways from close to home can be a lovely way to break up the wait-time between main cruise-holidays and give the opportunity to sample new ships, whilst tailored packages are the perfect way to piece together a truly unique personal cruise-holiday experience… and of course like most, I lust after the epic voyages and bucket list adventures taking in the wonders of the world and venturing to some of the most remote places on earth. 

Since starting my role as a Specialist Cruise Consultant, I have been tempted on a daily basis by the varied and exciting cruise options available… and since my husband became aware of my wandering eye, I have now recounted to him some of the temptations I have faced thus far, and he has agreed for us to book ourselves a ‘naughty little bit on the side’ alongside our main holiday next year!

I am browsing the market just now, but I will of course be sure to regale you with tales of the packages which catch my eye…
