So turning 50, family wedding and Arcadia here I come !!!!

Hi All, I thought I would start by filling you in on my life and what’s been happening.

First of all, I am happy to say that the wedding of my Stepdaughter Zoe Wright and Mark Burton took place last Saturday. It was amazing. They are both mad rally car drivers and so the wedding had a twist, of course, she turned up looking out of this world and with a very proud father guiding her she walked down the aisle. Then after the photo shoots, she quickly got changed into her outfit to join Mark in the rally car, which my daughter had doctored with tine cans and balloons for the drive to the reception.

The groom waited patiently for his bride as he had no idea what she was up to.

And lastly my daughter and Hubby, (never get to see her in a dress !!)

The day was amazing, beautiful reception at the Wainstones in Great Broughton afterwards, and the first dance was lovely.

Then moving on I am about to turn the big 50 and not really looking forward to it. Although I don’t always feel my age I have noticed the wrinkles and tired eyes over the last year or two. My Daughter and Hubby are planning a surprise party, I just know when and where. lots of lovely friends will be joining me, so that, of course, is a bonus to a big birthday. I am also getting very spoilt at the end of October when I get to travel in style onboard Britannia in a suite! Has anyone got any tips on growing old disgracefully lol!

Then my next big news is I have the pleasure of joining 40 of our Forum writers onboard Arcadia on the 21st of June for a wonderful 3-night cruise to Guernsey. This is one of the ships I have not been on yet and my mums favourite so really looking forward to that. Watch this space for more to come,
