Green Green Grass of home! On a Cruise, Why Not ??

Cruising around the beautiful, green green grass of home, Why not I ask.

With the current situations in the world, I thought why not look at no fly cruises and visit the UK.

If like me you have lived abroad for a few years then come back to the UK you realise how much you missed the lush green grassy meadows and beautiful countryside that is our glorious British Isles.

Even when I lived here the thought of getting in the car and driving for hours in the mental traffic and road works, did stop me from visiting the wonderful sites to see on home turf (so to speak).

I have only just recently realised how much easier it would be to hop on a cruise ship and let them take me from Southampton to:

Falmouth, England : Cardiff, Wales : Barrow-In-Furness (For Lake District : Barrow-In-Furness (Lake District) : Liverpool, England : Lerwick, Scotland : Leith (Edinburgh), Scotland : Southampton

or

St Peter Port, Guernsey, Uk. : Sail By South Cornwall, Uk : Ringaskiddy, Ireland : Dublin : Belfast : Stornoway : Kirkwall, Scotland,(Orkney Islands) : Sail By Cape Wrath : Portree, Scotland : Greenock, United Kingdom : Southampton, England

(a sample of  fantastic British Isle cruises.), (first one is Fred Olsen and second P and O)

If you are not already down South then why not try one from Newcastle , Hull , Liverpool, Dublin , Belfast or Bristol.

The Beautiful Balmoral

To name but a few of the beautiful smaller ships that can get into our wonderful Ports, Invergordan, Stornoway, etc are beautiful to see.

Imagine Attending the Edinburgh tattoo , or visiting the home of the Beatles and the beautiful architecture that is abundant in Liverpool and cruising at the same time, no need to check into several different hotels and put all that millage on your car.

I lived in Spain for 12 and a half years and had forgotten how beautiful our homeland is, no need to change your currency, no need to fly and all the wonderful Great British isles to explore.
