Food on board a River Cruise WOW !!!

Hi Guys and Girls, I know if you have been keeping up to date with my travels you know I have not long ago come off a river cruise with Amadeus Silver II.

I wanted to share my views on the food and staff on board so you can see how wonderful it was.

When we boarded we had tea, coffee and pastries followed quickly by the traditional cocktail, (well it was after 12 midday by then x), the cakes and the afternoon tea was beautiful , It all tasted so good couldn’t say no !!! Maybe I should have, had I known what was to come for dinner, but take a look and would you have said no ??

So by evening , we had had , pastries, then lunch ( 4 courses) and then afternoon tea, but just when you thought it was safe to put on a fairly close fitting dress for dinner, We then faced a 7 course gala dinner. (not to mention the champagne and canopies before we entered the dining room)

So the next few pics are in order of the courses , I think I have them all and everyone was to die for!

And then the coffee to finish.

So out of all the cruises I have been on , I have to say this dinner was the most spectacular.

The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive and as the Baked Alaska was marched from the kitchens by the chefs with sparklers on top, it topped off a very special evening. Can anyone tell me the reason for marching out the Baked Alaska ???

Breakfast was amazing too, with wonderful amounts of breads and rolls,

Not to mention the full English (German sausage, my favourite) and then fruit, cereals and continental (cheese, hams etc….). So really something for everyone.  The coffee cup was never empty , just the way I like it. At least that set us up well for our journey home.
