Free sightseeing tour for in transit passengers at Singapore airport.

The Far East and Australasia are amazing places to cruise around and Singapore Changi airport is a major hub for both passengers cruising from Singapore but also for people transiting on to places further afield such as Bali, Australia and New Zealand. At Cruise.co.uk we try and offer flights with as short a connecting time as possible however sometimes the airline schedules simply do not allow it and time is generally spent hanging around at the airport.

Singapore Airlines, who offer a great standard of service on board their flights have recognised that no one wants to do this and have teamed up with the Singapore Tourism Board and Changi Airport to offer a free sightseeing tour, they even offer you a choice of them.

Guests who have more than 5.5 hours in transit at the airport or those with a late flight home can choose from either a Heritage Tour which takes in the main historical sights and monuments that the city has to offer, including the Merlion, Singapore’s lion and fish sculpture on  the mouth of the Singapore River, China Town and Little India. Alternatively enjoy the more modern and vibrant side of the city with the City Sights Tour. This offers the opportunity to ride the Singapore Flyer, a giant wheel like the London Eye and enjoy the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade with it’s shops, bars and Gardens by the Bay.

These tours are both 2.5 hours long and are open to anyone with more than 5.5 hours and less than 24 hours in transit at Singapore Airport for all Singapore Airlines  (SQ) and Silk Air (MI) flights plus selected code share and Air New Zealand flights (see the Singapore Airlines website for details)

To take advantaage of one of the tours simply remain in the transit area and do not clear immigration as the registration booths are located at the transit area. Present your passport, boarding passes and valid entry visas (if applicable) at the Free Singapore Tours booths located at:

  • Terminal 2 ( In Transit Mall, between Transfer Lounge F and Skytain to Terminal 3 near the escalator to Arrival Immigration – Level 2)
  • Terminal 3 ( In Transit Mall, near Transfer Lounge A – Gate A1 to A8 at Level 2)

Then go off and enjoy a pleasant few hours in Singapore.
