The Future Is coming To Southampton

The future is coming to Southampton and when I say future I’m talking about Celebrity Cruise Lines brand new ship Apex. Get ready because The second of Celebrity’s revolutionary Edge Class ships Celebrity Apex will be sailing from Southampton in April 2020 for its first-ever cruises and will be available to book from 29 November 2018.

Celebrity Apex’s initial itineraries will be revealed when she goes on sale on November 29th 2018. It is not confirmed whether Apex will be the sailing to the Norwegian Fjords, the Baltic or the Mediterranean, And there may be one or two short cruises to get the ship into the right places in between itineraries.

Let me tell you a bit about Apex.

Celebrity Apex ship will have 4 main dining rooms and 6 new-to-Celebrity Cruises speciality restaurants. In total, the cruise ship has 15 restaurants and cafes, 12 bars and lounges.

Celebrity Edge-Class ships also have the most technologically advanced Theater Lounge spanning on 3 decks. Come to the Theater to watch the largest number of production shows, with the largest number of performing crew on any premium-brand ship.

The Apex just like the Brand New Edge will Boast some of the most stunning & modern accommodations in the Celebrity fleet, Why not book an Edge Staterooms with Infinite Balcony Or go all out and book a twin level Edge Villas with outdoor plunge pools.

One thing I really love about the Edge Class ships is the flying carpet which is a restaurant that rises and falls between decks on the side of the ship. Just like the Edge When stationed on Deck 2, the Magic Carpet serves as a water-level throughway for passengers to easily board and disembark the tender boats needed at ports where Celebrity Apex is unable to dock. Cruisers can simply walk through the Magic Carpet and into a tender without the need for ramps or stairs. The Magic carpet will rise up to other deck and become a dining venue, the food choice will vary depending on which deck the magic carpet stops on. Currently on the Edge  When not needed for tendering, the Magic Carpet can be stationed on Deck 5, Deck 14 or Deck 16. On Deck 5, the Magic Carpet will be used as an alfresco extension with room for up to 100 diners. Later in the day, when stationed on Deck 14, its sophisticated bar and seating options will shine as it serves as a location for happy hours and late-night parties. At select times, the Magic Carpet will be situated at its highest point (Deck 16) and used alternatively for exclusive dinners or high teas. Now don’t worry if you are afraid of Heights as the floor won’t be transparent so the words don’t look down will not be spoken.
