Who has the best airport in The World?

I fancy myself as a bit of a traveler in that I have been fortunate enough to go to many airports all over the world.

I used to look at airports as just the place I go to pick up a flight however things are changing in aviation. Each country seems to be in competition to make their Airport the finest in the World.

Shopping as you can imagine is big business with company’s also paying thousands per month to advertise due to the sheer number of people traveling through airports annually.

The best Airport I have been to is Changi in Singapore I used this airport for around 5 hours in transit to Brisbane Australia and I have never experienced anything quite like it.

The fact that some of it has carpets was something that stuck me as unusual but also very nice. I am going back 10 years or so since my trip and nowadays shes a very different airport offering state of the Art Theaters Cinemas, Botanical gardens and full massage parlous where long haul guests can relax prior to a long flight.

Other continents are now challenging Singapore for the best worldwide airport with 2 of Japans main airports Narita and Hanenda in Tokyo now dominating the top 5 stats.

These are typical of Japan to have lots of technology shops and world firsts on sale.

for the seventh year in a row Changi in Singapore has been voted the best in the World, with the tallest indoor waterfall to marvel at its hard to imagine any other country beating Singapore to this accolade anytime soon.

Whats your experience in Singapore and is this the best airport in the world in your opinion.

Would you ever consider more ground time on an interconnecting flight just to enjoy a day out at the airport? This may seem an unusual question but more and more people opt for 6-8 hours ground time long haul to enjoy the Worlds finest airports and often have a cheaper flight as a result. I think it makes perfect sense as its saver for the body and there is so much to enjoy at The Airport these days.
