Off to The Isle of Wight

The last time I went to The Isle of Wight it was freezing cold and in the middle of Winter. If I am honest we had one beautiful sunny morning with the low Winter which made for nice pictures but at large everywhere was closed and I found it difficult to get too excited about the place.

In the next week or two my wife Eleni (Helen) and I are heading off for a well earned break just a few nights in a stunning lodge with a hot tub. just the kind of UK break the doctor ordered.

In fact our last leave was in December when we went to the stunning Chamonix Mont Blanc.

We have had a few wonderful recommendations i.e. The Needles which boasts the finest views on The island and my own sister has recommended a few great restaurants one called the Bay which apparently offers a very nice table as the sun goes down.

Its always tricky in May knowing what to expect from the weather however the plan is to have lots of quality time together and take in plenty of those lush views and take plenty of photos.

I hear that pre Brexit UK based holidays are extremely popular, I have personally seen a huge amount of growth in The UK based (Ex UK cruises as well as more and more cruise lines focusing on UK based itineraries.

Where in The UK takes your interest?

There is so much of this beautiful country still left to explore, its featured in one of Trip advisers latest best parts of the UK to visit blog series so I am looking forward to immersing ourselves and ticking it off my own UK visit lists.

My fave place so far is Bath and I hear lots of people say York and the peak and Lake district is nice.

Where is your fave place to visit in The UK and if it is The isle of Wight feel free to recommend the hot spots for us wont you.

Ill tell you all about it in a couple of weeks.
