Dubai is an anti climax

For those of you that know me well you will know I have been very excited of late as my wife and I are off to Dubai for 3 nights followed by 7 nights on board The Vision of The Seas with Royal Caribbean.

It was that cheep deal that we were selling loads of in November 2016, Royal Caribbean even introduced 30% off for all Crown and Anchor Members; Many of you took advantage include myself.

But what about Dubai in February and Early March?

This week whilst calling lots of my customers to Welcome them home I wanted to find out their thoughts on their holiday experience. I must admit its been a mixed response.

Some people have suggested the weather was so bad that they could not get off the ship and Dubai was a wash out. Mr X my regular customer said “we had to exchange our tickets for the Burj Khalifa as it was too foggy to even see the view.

Mrs G said whist on The MSC Fantasia they could not visit one of the ports Sir Baniyas Island so The captain decided to take an impromptu trip to Dohar

Mr T said its an absolute building site. just when will they stop building out there.

The positives generally were the Palaces and the special excursions to the burj al arab The worlds first 6 star hotel where his wife was mighty impressed with the fillet steak.

Abu Dhabi was generally preferred to Dubai from the people I spoke to.

Useful Tip…

In Oman & Muscat there was no need to use Dubai Currency as the local shops were happy to take pounds, dollars and euros.

In summery no matter what I have been working really hard and i want to see Dubai for myself so Ill advise you on my return how we got on.

Look out for my post cruise sun kissed blog on Dubai and The Vision Of the sees in 2 weeks time.

See you soon.
