All Inclusive lowering the tone on board?

With many cruise lines now offering either a cheap All Inclusive option or Free Drinks packages for their customers, it has been brought to my attention on many occasions by customers that they are worried about these deals attracting customers on board who may lower the tone, so to speak.

What they meant by that was customers on board who were purposely on board to enjoy the free drink and engage in rowdy behaviour. I guess when I was told this I was quite surprised by their comments but after hearing this and speaking to other customers they were not in the minority. is Costa Del Cruising making a comeback??

We have already had the debate regarding short break cruises attracting Stag and Hen Parties behaving in a way that wasn’t seen appropriate to many guests and staff on board ( only a minority I have to add) and I guess this is another aspect of that. But surely isn’t everyone allowed to have a good time on board.

I would normally give an opinion on all my blogs but I have only been on one cruise that including Free Drinks for everyone and that was two nights on the Quantum with many other agents and media and despite the rumours of agents and their partying ways their was nothing that I noticed to be in appropriate behaviour.  Seriously though when you are working hard throughout the year , you look forward to your holidays and being able to let your hair down, isn’t this what it’s all about?

I guess my question open to debate is that is All Inclusive Cruising a way of saving your money , knowing you have piece of mind once on board and not having to count your receipts at the end of your cruise or is it a opportunity for ‘lager louts’ to take part in Free Booze Cruises and behave in a drunken manner.

We have seen that the face of cruising is changing dramatically not only with the futuristic ‘Smart Ships’ but also with more attractive campaigns and lower pricing at the last minute but is it changing for the better?
