A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GIRAFFE

You may be wrong in thinking that from day to day Celebrities have it easy but rest assured they don’t, some have to work for their Celebrity status as you will see from my day to day duties as Anthem Of The Seas newest team member . Hi, I am GiGi the Giraffe!

After the success of the my fellow friend the Pink Bear on Anthem’s sister ship Quantum Of The Seas it was only a matter of time before I was invited to join Anthem of The Seas as their latest Celebrity on board. Jamie Oliver has nothing on me 😉

Speculation was rife regarding what I would be , a bird,  a plane,  a duck, but I think Royal Caribbean chose the best option, me, a Giraffe! I mean why wouldn’t they!  Closely followed was the speculation of my name, first Gerry (noooooo) before finally and after a extremely lavish naming ceremony full of fellow Celebrities confirmed my name GIGI. I love my new name! Do you? I guess having a French heritage it was only natural that I was called GiGi.

It seems I have been a roaring success since joining Anthem last week and I will be looking forward to inviting you for many a selfie photo opportunity when your on board. So far though I haven’t stopped making sure Anthem is ready for all of you this coming summer, you can say I have been a tad busy. No rest for us up and coming celebrities you know. So what have I been up to?

This is me I have been testing out my version of the North Star!

Make sure you book the North Star, it really is a great experience and yes can be a little scary on the way up if your afraid of heights but a truly amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone.  Royal Caribbean supplied a crane so I could also experience my very own taste of North Star. That was nice of them.

This is me, I have been viewing the Balcony Cabins and have to say they are very nice , loving the virtual balcony cabins too.

This was a balcony cabin on Quantum, Anthem’s sister ship , plenty of room . Please note the beds are soooo comfortable, way too small for me of course as you can imagine, but apparently you just sink into them and after a busy day on board is well needed.

It doesn’t stop there though , as you can see I am constantly dressed for the pool , you never know when I may get a break and when I have, I have been checking it out on your behalf. it is a tough job but someone has to do it :-).

Great outdoor areas for families. This was the wave pool on Quantum and has a similar one on Anthem perfect for children and even the grown up ones.

After safely sailing into Southampton yesterday to a rapturous welcome, thankyou,  I am now currently docked in Southampton Port ready to welcome all of you lovely guests and with only a few days until I set sail the excitement is growing. If someone was to ask me what I thought of my new home this is what I would say.

Anthem’s sister ship Ovation of the Seas is already in the dockyard ready for her debut in 2016 and Royal Caribbean have wasted no time in interviewing one of my colleagues, who will it be? Any guesses?

If you are booked on Anthem of the Seas this year then you really are in for a treat. Have an amazing time and I look forward to all of the selfies with you.

I will be launching a competition for your best photos . Watch this space!! In the meantime if you would like to know more about my new home Anthem of the Seas then click here for the story so far …. Introduction to Anthem of the Seas
