Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to take a moment, before the main festivities begin, to wish each and every one of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

2015 has been a busy and exciting year for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed speaking to so many of you, existing clients who have booked with me for years, and new clients who I have had the pleasure of getting to know and arranging your cruise for the first time.

I have also been lucky enough to attend the launch of the new P&O Britannia earlier in the year, and spend a night on board. I had the chance to have a good mooch around her, sample the hospitality of the crew not to mention the menu! She is a stunning ship ad has proved really popular during her maiden season with P&O cruisers. In May I spent a couple of nights on board Celebrity Eclipse which was fantastic. She had just had a refurb which included the addition of a speciality restaurant, Luminae, for Suite guests. Celebrity is my favourite mainstream cruise line and Eclipse did not disappoint. I could not fault a thing and the food was superb as always. I even got to meet Ben Fogle and the BBC news reader Jenny Bond, both of whom were delightful.

On a personal level, it has been a busy year too. My two eldest children flew the nest as they started the next chapter of their lives, both have bought their own homes which they are settling into really well. I must admit I was sad to see them go but I am extremely proud that they are such independent young adults and it is giving me great pleasure to watch them blossom and cope without Mom in the big wide world – not to mention the pleasure I am now getting from a much smaller ironing pile! Just one of the children and a small Jack Russell left.

And so to 2016. I will be returning to the office, refreshed and raring to go on 4th January and I will be looking forward to whatever the year has to bring. The cruise lines all have some fabulous offers running during January and February so I have no doubt that it will be a busy start to the year, then the new itineraries for 2017-2018 will launch in April. There will be ships visits too no doubt. It has to be said that life as a Cruise Consultant is never, ever dull!

I look forward to speaking to you all during 2016 and helping you book more fabulous cruises. In the meantime, have a great Christmas one and all.

Signing off for 2015 – Hannah.
