Bellissimi Tappeti? You decide………….

The ships definitely have what we in the industry call ‘wow factor’. There is no doubt that they are some of the most stunning vessels to sail the World’s oceans. Well you wouldn’t expect anything less from the Italians, noted for their style and flair would you?

So for all the sparkle, style and pizzazz in the decor and furnishings, do the carpets compare favourably? And how do they compare with those on other ships, from other cruise lines, I have visited? Initially I was taken aback by the subtlety of the carpets on MSC Preziosa – well maybe apart from the one above –  and also the lack of them in many areas, but of course being an Italian-owned cruise line there was marble and more marble rather than good old carpet. Makes sense really doesn’t it. The Italians are partial to their marble.

So, here they are for your viewing pleasure, not many as you can see, but fairly stylish compared to some of the atrocities I’ve seen over the years!
