I’m Doing The Grand Tour of China!

I am beyond excited! and feeling extremely lucky and honoured to be chosen as part of a fact finding team to China!  for our extremely popular Bucket List Tour GRAND TOUR OF CHINA. Our aim is to compile a detailed report on every aspect of this extraordinary tour to ensure our clients get the very best experience and immersion of this beautiful country!

We will be following the 12 day escorted itinerary from Beijing to Hong Kong as follows:-

Day 1: We fly overnight from the UK to arrive in Beijing the following morning.                                                                                                        Day 2: Arrive Beijing and transfer to our hotel for 3 nights.  Here we will be checking  the hotel’s facilities and suitability for passengers with any dietary, mobility needs, as well as local attractions, shops, etc..

Day 3: We’re off to visit the Great Wall of China (one of many sights on my own personal Bucket List!) then on to the Ming Tombs after a brief stop at a Jade Factory (and no doubt pick up a trinket or 2!)

Day 4:  A visit through Tiananmen Square, to see Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum, onward to the Forbidden City, home of the Emperors, and the Temple of Heaven.   In the evening we have planned dining out on a sumptuous Peking Duck!

Day 5: Sees us arriving in Pingyao via Bullet Train. Pingyao is one of China’s best preserved ancient towns!  So watch out for our video footage and photos!

Day 6: On to Xi’an via Bullet Train once again, where we will be watching a Tang Dynasty Dancing Show. (No idea – but will find out!)

Day 7: Now this is one of the highlights of my trip  – The Terracotta Warriors! Built to protect Emperor Qin in the afterlife!

Day 8: A visit is planned to the Little Wild Goose Pagoda, before heading to Chengdu, home of the Giant Pandas!

Day 9: After visiting the Giant Panda Sanctuary – we’re going to experience a 3 night Yangtze River cruise! (Wowzer!)

Day 12: We disembark from our River cruise adventure in Hong Kong, where we will have time to explore the city before boarding our flight back to the UK, and hopefully get some serious shopping in!

I’ve checked the temperature in China, and in August its HOT!  30c!  which hopefully wont be such a shock to the system  as the UK and my home in Marbella have been enjoying this temperature for the past couple of months!  So packing plenty of sun cream.  But also a brolly as it has been known for the heavens to open too!

We will be taking plenty of photos, videos, and gathering heaps of information to ensure everyone who has booked with us on this spectacular holiday will return with a lifetime of unique memories!
