A few days by the Sea!

I have recently returned from a few days in Poole, Dorset.  I know Poole very well as we have been going there now for the last four years.  My in laws own a holiday home down there and we were away to open the van up for the season.  We normally are very lucky with the weather as we go away the same week every year.  Unfortunately this year the weather wasn’t too good.  We were there for 4 nights and most of the time it was wet and windy.  We did manage some dry weather but not much.   We went to Avon beach on the Tuesday for a drink and the wind and rain was awful.

As we had our daughter with us we wanted to do things she would enjoy.  We did a soft play area in Poole Park and we took her to Farmer Palmer’s which is a local farm.  We also took a trip to Sandbanks where we put our wellies on and took a walk along the beach and down to the sea.  The weather was ok the day we decided to do this.  We ate out each evening while we were there and then on the Friday before we came home we took a wonder around the park.  It opened to the public on Friday so all the facilities on the site were then open.  As we have privilege cards for being owner’s we have access to the owners area with a bar/seating area etc.  Unfortunately my daughter hadn’t been very well and wasn’t really interested in any of the attractions we took her too.  She did end up being took into hospital mid week but luckily she is now on the mend.  We still had a lovely few days away and it is nice to spend some time as a family but it was such a shame the weather wasn’t great and most importantly that our daughter wasn’t well.
