Missing the sunshine!

So that’s it, another holiday done and dusted and I seriously have holiday blues! As I’m sure we all do after most holidays! I definitely think just bring in the warm sunshine ( or hot in this case!) makes you feel happier and more relaxed!
We have just spent a week in Tenerife, fantastic temperatures plenty of sunshine, plenty of bars, restaurants and we stayed in a  great little complex with mainly private apartments that are lived in along with the rentable properties too.

As with most of your main holiday resorts across Spain the resorts themselves are very ‘British’ and full of Irish, welsh, Scottish and British bars serving all of your homely favourite dishes but we did miss trying the local cuisine and had to search quite hard to find local restaurants serving tapas which we love!
We had some friends staying further along the coast in a quieter resort called Los Gigantes, so decided to be jump on the local transport and we took the bus to visit them! Unfortunately this bus seemed to stop at every village and town in the mountains and hills in most cases on the way! A 20 minute journey took over an hour, I decided we were taking a taxi back!
Los Gigantes is set along the cliffs and a very striking area, and more traditional with a more local feel, we had a great day sampling the local restaurants, and bars with our friends here!

Now were home its time to think about and look forward to our next break, which wont include any hot sunshine unfortunately!
Ventura is our next break away at the end of may so I will be counting down the weeks and looking forward to spending time onboard sampling the food and entrainment!
