Cruising at Christmas

Are you planning to spend ‘The most wonderful time of the year’ on a cruise this year?

Cruising really is the most ideal way to holiday over the festive season, whether your cruising in warmer or colder climates the idea of spending Christmas away from home, away from the busy shopping centres and all that cooking and washing up you need to think of doing you can now spend your time relaxing on a ship, letting someone else do all that cooking for you! The ships really do like to make a fuss of the festive celebrations and you will find the cruise ships are decorated and have their Christmas tree’s all set up normally from around late November.

I sailed on-board the Allure of the seas early December 2014 and the Christmas tree was spectacular! Situated along the Royal Promenade and attracting lots of attention from the 1000s of cruisers wanting to take photos of themselves next to the huge tree!

One of the best ports of call for fireworks over new year’s eve is Madeira, the island really does put on a fantastic fireworks show and cruise ships flock to the island to try and get the best place to ‘park up’ for the celebrations!
