Norwegian Jade is coming to Southampton

I was always find it exciting when cruise lines switch up their ships and place them in different ports. For a while now we have had the Norwegian Epic doing the odd itinerary from Southampton and following on from that they have now placed Norwegian Jade there from 2017.

From the summer of 2017 Norwegian Jade will be sailing to the destinations of Western Europe, Norway, Iceland and Scotland. From Southampton there are only a few destinations you can get to in a matter of 14 nights, and speaking to customers who regularly it’s fantastic trying out a different ship.

Norwegian Jade will receive a refurbishment before her summer 2017 itineraries, so she will be as good as new. Passengers will see improvements on board with the menus and new dishes will be added giving this  this an overall new experience. As it is also a large family friendly ship it is great that families can decide between this ship or the one of the Royal Caribbean’s. With cruising becoming more and more popular with families, especially sailing from Southampton it takes the stress out of airports and flying. The beauty of it is, once on board your holiday begins immediately. There’s no queing at airports, flying and then being herded to the transfer coach to take the last leg of your journey. As a mum to two lively boys I now they would absolutely love the Norwegian Jade. Also with 2017 being a ‘special birthday’ for myself and my husband this could be the special holiday I am looking for. I know the boys would have hours of fun on the water slides, as I would relaxing in one of the hot tubs. The decision maker and real deal breaker would be the sports court, they can’t go anywhere without being able to play football. I would equally be happy in the spa or jogging track. I think I would need this after eating all the delicious food. The Tree tops kids club would keep them entertained and the opportunity to make new friends, I’ll keep you posted as to what we decide.
