I am Back!!!

Hello everyone

I have been off for the past two weeks with Thrombophlebitis which those of you that don’t know is swelling of the superfical veins in the legs. This is very painful, hence why I haven’t been able to work as sitting still is not an option.

I have now been suffering with this for 9 weeks! Two weeks ago I was all set to have the vein removed from my leg – I thought that this would be the end of it, however sadly it wasn’t, the doctor scanned my leg in hospital and said that my veins had returned to normal which is brilliant, but why was I still in so much pain I asked? My vein had been so swollen that had damaged my nerves, so the pain I was experiencing was due to this.  The doctor explained that this is not a quick fix and could take some time to settle. All I could do was get upset and worry about my customers and the fact that I absolutely love my job.

When I told my managers here at cruise.co.uk they were amazing and very supportive. I can not thank them enough. This I have never experienced with previous employers so was very overwhelmed with their kindness to me.

Over the past nine weeks my life has been turned upside down, no routine, no work, no driving and the biggest thing for me was the fact that I couldn’t even be a mum to my boys. They have been my rock and helped me through this difficult time. The smiles on their faces has was has kept me strong whilst I have had to deal with this pain for so long, it feels like its been forever and am beginning to wonder what it was like before I had this condition.

I am still battling with the tablets to control this pain but I think I am getting there and very much looking forward to chatting with you all again.
