Hows the school holidays going?

So about a month ago, I wrote about the dreaded six weeks holidays and how we were going to occupy the children.

I thought I would see how everybody is doing and how they are entertaining there little beauties… Well this is the middle of my two weeks annual leave with mine and thought I would tell you what we have been up to.

We visited Paignton Zoo, the weather was lush and so that meant the animal were all out for everybody to see. My favourite was the Gorillas, they are so amazing and human like, they came right up to the glass, so we were able to see all their humanly features, there was three gorillas in the enclosure and they were fighting just like my boys do, eating there food and were just so amazing to watch, i could of spend all day sitting and watching these animals as i find them extremely fascinating.

The Tiger had recently had three cubs, but unfortunately two of them died. The mother Tiger was very protective, the cub was inside and she had been let out for some exercise, she didn’t go very far and kept looking through the gate to check her baby was ok.

The lions were putting on a show too, there were two lionesses and a male lion and two cubs, the cubs were very playful and came right up to the glass, which meant that the lioness kept coming to check on her cubs. The lioness wasn’t happy with her cubs, she came up to the window and did a wee right on the glass.

All in all this was such a fantastic day and well worth the money, if anybody is in South Devon and wonders what to do during the next few weeks of the holidays then head to the zoo as i am sure you will get a big surprise.
