MSC – Are they for Me?

Last weekend I as fortunate to join some of my cruise.co.uk Colleagues and agents around the UK for 1 Night on board the amazing MSC Bellissima – A great way us to feel and experience MSC and the Brand-new ship before it sailed out to the Med for its Inaugural Summer season

Since the Steel Cutting ceremony back in 2016 as with all new ships I had been watching this 5700 Capacity mega ship come to life and was excited to experience all the new features on board

So, First Impressions?

Well it all began before I left home, I downloaded the MSC for me App to my smartphone and completed the online check-in prior to sailing, this made Check in really quick and easy. The App also allows you to complete your credit card registration prior to embarkation a real-life saver on embarkation day and holds other features such as An Interactive map, Full cruise planner including a full itinerary of all the events and activities on board and even a MSC for Me Chat Feature if you are travelling with friends or family.

The MSC for Me App is currently available on the newer MSC Ships Meraviglia, Seaside, Seaview and Bellissima

We boarded straight onto Deck 5 – Top Tip Next to Guest services on this deck is a stand you can collect your ship map from, this comes in really handy on your first day to help you get your bearings.

You will also find the MSC Excursions desk and the main restaurant Posidonia where we were having dinner that evening. Most importantly on deck 5 is the infinity Atrium, this really does have the WOW Factor, spanning 3 Decks high with Swarovski Crystal staircases at either side and a beautiful stage that will host live music at different times throughout the cruise.

Decks 6/7 is home to Galleria Bellissima the ships inside promenade and main social hub, complete with an 80 metre long LED Dome that changes throughout the day along here you will find an array of bars and restaurants including Jean-Philippe Chocolat & Café, Crepe’s and Gelato, Hola Tapas Bar, Butchers Cut Steakhouse and Kaito’s Sushi & Teppanyaki bar along with so much more! The Galleria really comes alive in the evening and offers a street party atmosphere. On this deck, You will also find the entrance to the Theatre offering twice nightly Broadway Shows

Before exploring even more of what this incredible ship had to offer it was time to check out my accommodation for the night.. in my next blog I will be showing you the cabins on MSC and introducing the recreation decks as well as my thoughts on one of the most important things on everybody’s cruise holiday check list.. FOOD!
