Antarctica a breathtaking view

This is a photo taken by Captain Leonardos from the bridge of the Celebrity Eclipse.

He sent it to our son yesterday who then had many questions about Antarctica.

I am fortunate enough to have sailed here many years ago with Saga Cruises so had lots of information to give him.

I remember sitting on the starboard side of the ship sipping hot chocolate while wrapped up in a blanket and the views were mesmerising.

This is one of my favourite photos I have come across and it always makes me laugh

The Celebrity Eclipse is the biggest ship to sail in Antarctica and is currently sailing there now.

She sails again on the 14th February and then 2 more sailings in January and February 2020.

Her ports of call are  Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ushuaia, Argentina, Cape Horn, Chile, Paradise Bay, Errera Channel, Elephant Island, Antarctica, Port Stanley, Falkland Islands, Puerto Madryn, Argentina and Montevideo.

Cruise through Schollart Channel and Dalhan Bay and see massive ice flows, hump back whales and the waddling penguins. You can also see Leopard seals in their own environment.

In Elephant Island you will discover the tiny island where Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew found themselves after loosing their ship the Endurance in the Weddell sea in 1914.

There are so many excursions during this cruise and is a must for nature lovers
