My Cruise Life

Well after experiencing my first cruise in May 2007 on-board the delightful P&O Oceania. I can honestly say what an eye opener it was for me. I was at the age of 26 and thought I would not enjoy it. How wrong was I. The experience made me see what on-board living arrangements were like on a floating 4* hotel. The cruise took me to places I would not have naturally thought to visit. I always remember that waking up in a different port every morning was exciting. The cruise itself was fantastic and made me more interested in booking more cruise holidays. The service was second to none as was the beautiful food and entertainment. What more could I have wanted.

In 2009 I was looking to book another cruise, this time I was thinking more long haul. I managed to find a cruise sailing down the Mexican Riviera onboard the Norwegian Star. The itinerary was amazing and I got to see some authentic Mexico. The cruise itself was very family orientated however this did not cause a problem to me or my partner. It was great to see families enjoying themselves. Again the service, food and entertainment was truly great. I would certainly book to go back with Norwegian cruise lines as this was a freestyle cruise.

In 2011 I booked another cruise for me and my partner  to the Gulf of Mexico.  We booked to go on the new  Neiuw Amsterdam, a 5* cruise liner. This cruise for me was exceptional. The staff were again so very helpful and also imaginative in helping us to choose entertainment available. Their knowledge was great and really helped us. The rooms had been decorated to a very high standard but this was to be expected with it being a new ship. I could not find anything to fault about this ship, itinerary, onboard service and staff.

After all the great cruises I had previously been on, I was offered to go on a mini cruise in 2012 from LA for 3 days on a “Party Cruise”. This was cruising with carnival cruises around Mexico. This was part of a holiday that I had won I was very excited at the chance of boarding another cruise. We all had a fantastic time participating with all the onboard entertainment and all enjoyed cruising with Carnival. Although I had already visited the port down the Mexican Riviera I still went to visit and see the lovely delights again. Although this was a short mini cruise it was still lovely to enjoy the excellence of service, food and entertainment.

Where will my next cruise take me….
