Wild Towel Animals, do you love them or hate them? Go on you know you love them…

Well personally I love them, I love going back to the cabin wondering what exotic creature will be sat on my bed wearing my sunglasses and jewellery. Now now  Mrs behave yourself, I am talking about the art of towel folding.

Its all part of the fun I think and not as easy as it looks so when you pick it up and fling it in the bathroom just stop and admire it first as a lot of time and imagination has been taken to create these works of art.

Have you ever seen the towel animals show in the atrium of the ship they sometimes have, go and have a look or even have a go, it ends up as a great laugh as people try to copy the staff and the whole animal looks like an explosion in a zoo.

This is just one of the animals I found in my room and it was a monkey, not all cabin staff are experts yet but they will be by the end of their first season. This was on the Thomson Dream and it was very good and a great source of amusement as we had it in various poses around the cabin, we really should act our age.

My daughter loved them, she used to ask how they made them so have a look in your cabin newspaper to see when the towel folding exhibition is on as it is work a look.

Have a go yourself in the cabin and see what you can come up with and post me a photo when you come home, I am always interested in seeing what wonderful creations appear in peoples cabins, its just for a laugh after all and if it brightens the day a little of the people who are in the cabin then it has served its purpose.

this one we had on the Ventura was one of the “what is it” animals, we figured out it was an elephant.

One of the ones we loved was when we went on the maiden voyage on the Ovation of the seas, we never knew what was going to appear in our cabin and it was sadly a little exciting to go back to the cabin at the end of the day to see what was going to be there.

This was one of my favorite ones but what it actually is I have no idea but it looked good and was a great source of amusement, my daughter wanted to take it home.

As a last one and also on the Ovation is the good old rabbit and it looks easy to copy but as I said earlier have a go and see what you come up with because I can guarantee it wont be anything like this.

So this is the challenge I set, on my post I have 4 types of “creatures” so how many do you have that you can share to me, can we get over 30 different ones maybe, send them and we will have a count and if nothing else we will have had a laugh.

Get posting.
