Royal Caribbean Keep ‘Em Coming

When Royal Caribbean announced their plans for the all new Quantum class ships, with their ground breaking technology and never before seen features at sea, I thought, WOW!! Game changer. With virtual balconies in their inside staterooms, interactive maps, bionic bar, 270 degrees, Ripcord, the North Star, the list goes on and on!!

They then managed to top that by announcing their newest ship to be built, set to be the biggest ship in the world. Harmony of the Seas.  She will be the third Oasis class ship alongside Oasis and Allure of the Seas.  She will be marginally bigger and heavier and will incorporate  not only the amazing Oasis class features such as the much loved and unique central park and board walk but also some of the Quantum class features such as a bionic bar, super fast internet connections and wow bands

She will feature virtual balconies in her inside staterooms and studio staterooms for solo travellers. Harmony of the seas will boast an amazing aqua park with water slides spanning over several decks above central park, a first for Royal Caribbean, but a feature I know that is loved by Carnival, NCL and MSC’s Customers.

There is also the introduction of RCI’s 3rd Quantum class ship, the Ovation of the Seas, which will be joining the fleet in Mid 2016, starting with 3 trips from Southampton before making her way round to Singapore. She will feature all of the mod cons that can be found on her 2 sisters, and from what I have heard, it’s fantastic!!

On the back of the feedback from the industry and guests alike, it was announced this week that RCI have placed an order for a 4th Quantum class ship, which will be built for 2019. I can’t help but wonder what weird and wonderful technology she will feature, with another 4 years of advancements, I can only imagine!!
