News coming in thick and fast.

It seems to be a rather busy few weeks on the news front in the cruise industry. Announcements coming in left, right and centre around new ship orders, naming ceremonies, refits and releasing itineraries far far into the future.

MSC Seaside is the latest super ship to launch and is the 2nd ship launch for them this year alone. With reviews from the Meraviglia very good indeed, I think the Seaside will be a rip roaring success. She is being named on 21st December at a star studded bash in Miami.

Viking Cruises have announced that they have ordered a whopping 4 new sisters for their existing fleet, taking them up to 10 ships in total and making them the largest small ship cruise line in the world. Incredible. They will take ownership of the new ships by 2023, exciting times.

P&O have carried out a refit on passenger favourite, Oceana. It is the first face lift the ship has had in 5 years and the work carried out looks incredible. Great job P&O.

The NCL group (owners of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania and Regent Seven Seas) have announced they will be targeting and unusual growth market in 2018 after having a large increase in bookers across all 3 brand in 2017. India is apparently the next nation to fall in love with cruising.

Princess has started drip feeding us their 2019 offerings with new and exciting deployments, including a bigger presence in Canada and Japan, watch this space for our tailor made packages that will follow making the most of these great itineraries!!

Very exciting week for Celebrity Cruises as well, with them announcing their itineraries as far ahead as 2020, visiting over 300 ports in over 70 countries. It also celebrated the start of construction work on their brand new exhibition ship ‘Celebrity Flora’ who will be sailing around the Galapagos for them.
