Tattoo’s at sea

A first at sea get inked during your cruise holiday.

Virgin have joined forces with world famous tattoo Ink. The brand new ship Scarlet lady which will launch in 2020 and will host a studio called ‘Squid Ink ‘

It’s not something I would have put together really but actually tattooing is actually a tradition at sea with the sailors.

There will be guest artists invited to Squid Ink including the likes of Spike TV’s “Ink Master” star Sarah Miller as well as two handpicked resident artists.

All Squid Ink tattoos will be created using vegan ink from World Famous Tattoo Ink.

Virgin Voyages, which are for adults only are trying to continue a legacy with rock and roll style by bringing some of the best ink artists to sea they will also encourage its crewmembers to get tattoos. The studio will feature a selection of exclusive voyage tattoo designs. They want those that sail on board to make lifelong memories, and think there’s no better way to commemorate their first voyage with us than with a souvenir they’ll never lose track of.

Squid Ink will also offer body piercings, as well as permanent makeup treatments.

As global acceptance of tattoos and body art continues to grow, partnering with Virgin Voyages gives them the opportunity to bring color to places people might have never thought possible before.

Scarlet Lady will sail from Miami and feature a “Vitamin Sea” theme which will focus on passenger wellness, relaxation and fun. Onboard you can expect to find a fitness center, spa, salon, bar and nightclub and will be positioned so that passengers can easily move between them to detox by working out or having a spa treatment and then, “retox” with a drink or two and a night of dancing.
