What do you do with your pets whilst you cruise?

Well what a busy week I have had this week…

As you know I am an animal person as I have a dog, 4 cats & 2 horses… so always busy with them when not working. My dog Patch is such a softy & he is getting too used to me being at home (working) and he whines outside the door, as I don’t let any of my animals in my office. So we have decided to get him some company in the form of another dog. We have visited the ‘Dogs Trust’ in Kenilworth a few times this week and have found a perfect little puppy to re-home. Her name is Maisy at the moment but we are going to change it to Daisy. She is approx 8 months old & quite a handful but I’m sure Patch will take her under his wing & teach her the ropes.

On Thursday I took Patch to meet her & they got on great so I hope this will solve the problem as he will have some company whilst I’m working. Then I can take them both for a walk when on my break. Adam took him again on Saturday to play and the centre were pleased, so Adam is off to pick her up on Tuesday and bring her to her new home to be spoilt rotten just like the rest of my pets.

Meet Daisy!

Isn’t she beautiful – she has German shepherd in her but we’re not sure what she is crossed with so don’t know how big she will get at the moment so watch this space for updates.

I wonder if Daisy will like the horses as much as Patch – I’m sure she will love them.

The horse jumping season starts again at the end of March so I’ve been to the committee meeting this week also to get ready for ths season. Being on the committee involves planning the course for the jumping classes & scoring on the day, ensuring the riders are wearing the correct clothing & assisting with booking the riders in for the classes they want to enter. It is real good fun and we do this every other Sunday from end of March to end of September so keeps me busy!

I have also finally booked our family cruise on board ‘Norweigan Epic’ so have that to look forward to now. My sister came down from Bolton for the weekend, as she had a kid free weekend, so we booked our cruise & went out for a nice meal on Saturday night then for a few drinks in town. I’ve had a lovely weekend & hate it when she has to go home.  At least I get to spend the week with the family on our cruise in July. It will be the 1st family holiday we have had since we were kids. Mum still doesn’t know about it so not long till Mothers Day when we get to tell her.

So this leads to – what do you do with your pets when you go on your cruise holiday?

I’m lucky enough to have Adam’s mum – Vicki who has Patch at her house then comes in to feed the cats twice a day. Now she will have 2 of them to look after. I know she won’t mind as I had to check she could have them before making the booking.

If I had to put them in kennels/cattery then I would – what do you do?

There are some great Kennels/Catteries  around so it’s like your pet having a holiday at the same time as you.

I still think about my animals when on holiday & worry that they are ok so regular phone calls home to check they are ok – do you wish you could take them with you? I do but can’t see my animals on a cruise – that would be funny!

Once you’ve sorted your animals holiday out – call me on 0800 408 6108 to book your cruise holiday.
