I’m getting married!!

I have been with my partner Adam for 8 years and we have been engaged for 7 years. Since he proposed we have talked about getting married but never got round to arranging it. Well now we have and it is sooner than I expected.

What a week I’ve had this week!!

We were hoping to arrange it for end of August or September so have a few months to arrange everything but due to friends & family being on holiday we have had to go for the end of July this year – I know I thought – that soon!!

But it is possible, so for the next few weeks we will be manic, running around sorting everything out. We have sorted the ceremony and the venue so now need to decide on food arrangements, flowers, cars, photographer etc.

I have ordered my dress as had my eye on it for a while now so just waiting for that to be delivered, then to sort the accessories – a girl has to have accessories – it’s like choosing your outfit for the gala nights on a cruise – so exciting!

My daughter Kim is my chief bridesmaid and will wear the dress she had for her prom last year (method in my madness – as I chose it with this in mind). Luckily it still fits her so I know she will look gorgeuous and probably better than me.

We both have family who live miles away so we have arranged hotel rooms for them so can be here the whole day & they are all coming too which is great news. My best friend from Bolton is also coming, we have been friend since we were 17 when we met at work in a travel agents so I’m really pleased she can make it.

It is not going to be a big white wedding as we have both been married before but I’m sure we’ll have an amazing day.

As we have booked our cruise to go on 28th July this will now double as our honeymoon as well as my mum’s 70th birthday so is going to be the best cruise ever! Having my family there will make it even more special.

Of course I will put photos on after the big day so watch this space.
