Food with a difference!

For anyone who has been on board  Celebrity Cruise Ship and dined in Qsine – I’m sure you will agree it is by far one of the best restaurant experiences ever taken.  Well I thought so and I was blown away with the amount of food you can consume in one

sitting…

Qsine has a cover charge of $45 per person but is well worth the money and an experience you will never forget.

The actual restaurant on board Celebrity Inifinity is on deck 11 and we ate here on the 3rd night of the cruise, as there were a group of us we had 2 large tables.  The waiters greet you as you arrive and show you to your table, then they sort out any drinks you require.

Next you are handed an Ipad – great for all those techno people out there, on the Ipad is the menu – a little bit confusing when you first look at it (as I didn’t wait to be shown, just wanted to play with it immediatley). The waiters show you how to use it and explain the different dishes available then leave you to it to order as much or as little as you want.

Even though we ordered what is shown on the Ipad they brought a bit of everything so we could try it – usually you would just order what you want.

There are in excess of 20 dishes to order will tastes to suit every pallet, a great way to try food you have never had before as if you don’t like eat just have something else, it’s as easy as that. I’m not a fussy eater but don’t like onions so I tried everything else, if I like it I ate lots of it which was a mistake as became so full but wanted to try more but just could not eat any more.

Expect to find some twists on familiar favourites, including sushi lollipops, lobster escargot, popcorn fish and chips, and much more. With flavours originating from around the world – and combined in ways you would never expect – dining out at Celebrity Qsine is the perfect complement to a voyage to some of the most captivating destinations on earth.

Even the meat is cooked to perfection, as there was a group of us we all had different tastes so we asked for the meat to be cooked, rare, medium & well done – the waiters say ‘no problem’ and it wasn’t, they cooked it just how we liked it and showed us which pieces were rare to well done. I was amazed as I’m a bit fussy about steak as can’t eat meat if it’s red or bloody… as I said I’m not a fussy eater!

My favourite was the spring rolls, battered goats cheese, sushi lollipops & popcorn fish & chips.

Here are a few pictures of the different dishes:-

And then there were the puddings, I haven’t got a sweet tooth so didn’t have any as was far too full anyway but the others did as had to be done even though bursting out of their clothes after eating so much.

This was brought out first, it is chocolate strawberries and different flavoured mousse in porcelain egg cups, followed by the famous Qsine chocolate heaven pudding which even has the Q of the logo in chocolate.

You then order your sweet using what looks like a Rubiks Cube – it opens up to show what sweets are available – a very novel idea, I just played about with it for ages!

You can order plain muffins then decorate them yourself as they provide all the ingredients, had such fun with this.

I loved the decor of the restaurant, high backed white chairs on one side of the table and normal chairs on the other side. Upside lamps decorate the ceiling, a feature I have never seen before.

If you have booked a Celebrity cruise I definitely recommend you book into Qsine for at least 1 night for the most unusual dining experience you will ever experience. There were passengers on board that were eating in here for the 2nd or 3rd time as loved it that much.

I must admit I ate so much I could hardly walk out of the restaurant and asked the waiter for wheelchair assistance back to my cabin – there was no dancing this night I can assure you.

If you haven’t booked your Celebrity cruise yet then give me a call on 0800 408 6108 and I will happily tell you more about Qsine and the great ‘Modern Luxury’ experience that is Celebrity Cruises.
