You have to be in it to Win it!

I cant believe that January has gone and we are now into February already. Once Christmas is out of the way people start looking for their holidays  and I am no exception. This year though I have had a little helping hand along the way. I was lucky enough to win a week cruise on the New MSC ship which will be launching this Summer. There is a choice of embarkation ports to choose from, Barcelona, Genoa and Marseille and I will probably join in Barcelona so that we can have a couple of days before the cruise in one of my favourite cities. I’m really excited about  seeing the ship as I have only previously been on MSC Magnifica for 2  nights when she launched in Southampton in 2010. MSC Meraviglia (currently under construction,)  is the first of two new-design ships and set to become the biggest MSC cruise ships with a passenger capacity of 4,700 and tonnage of 167,600. The ship will have 2 covered promenades and the whole ceiling will be covered by a 480 square metre LED Screen which will transmit varies settings from sunsets to sunrises and starry skies. There will also be a waterpark on the outside decks and the entertainment will feature Cirque de Soleil. Having been on Harmony of the Seas, although this isn’t as big, I think she may give Harmony a run for her money.

I have also been lucky enough to win a place on Majestic Princess on 31st March this year sailing from Trieste to  Rome for 4 Nights. Again I am really looking forward to this too as I have never sailed with Princess and have only been on Crown Princess for lunch. I will be travelling with some of my other colleague who were also lucky enough to win a place. This was a competition run by Princess Cruises where we had to enter our bookings into the competition to win a place. I was lucky to win my place on 2nd January which was a lovely surprise to come back to after the New Year.

And as they say things come in 3’s! Yesterday I won a £1000.00 Voucher towards a Celebrity Cruise, another Cruise line I have never sailed with. I will be sailing on Eclipse in April to the Fjords for the first time and I’m sure I will love it and then Ill have to decide what ship to do next and to spend my voucher on.

Lets hope this New Year Good Luck doesn’t run out. I’m off to buy a lottery ticket this weekend !
