Olympic Fever…….

Well we have waited long enough for the Olympics to arrive in London and they certainly arrived in style and  Friday evening was one of those nights that will be on people’s minds for a long time. It’s  certainly been a year of celebrations with the Queen’s Jubilee and the cruise industry having its own Grand Event with P&O’s 175 year celebrations.

There were all kinds of displays going on from firework displays to dance displays which celebrated four decades of British Music. There were 1427 volunteer cast with roughly 350 in each of the four music sequences representing the 60’s, 70’s 90’s and today. Being a massive David Beckham fan the best part for me was him on the speedboat and he can whisk me away on one of thoses anyday!

Another of the highlights had to be the 7 young athletes who were torchbearers who had been nominated by former  British Olympic Legends. Im sure its something they will treasure for a long time.

Unfortunately as I was working I didnt get to watch things live but hey ho thats what technology is for, but I must admit its not quite the same when you’re not watching real time. I’m sure over the next 2 weeks I will be eternally greatful for the record function on the telly!

So come on Team GB make us proud to be British and get as many medals as we can!
