I’m off on the River!!

I have done a lot of Ocean cruising so know all about it like the back of my hand.

Now when it comes to River cruises I’m no so knowledgable.  I did do a short River cruise a few years ago but had a problem with my eye so couldn’t enjoy it as I normally would being on any ship. Also, the weather was terrible as we went in March so it was cold and raining in Amsterdam.

Next week I am off on Fred Olsen’s Brabant and really looking forward to it.

Myself & my colleague Trudy travel on 5th August from Heathrow to spend 3 nights on board, I am so excited to see this ship and sail whilst the sun is shining.

We fly into Frankfurt and transfer to the ship, luckily it’s a short flight as I’m not too keen on flying. We sail the Middle & Upper Rhine and I’ve never been here so will be great to add another destination to my places visited.

I’m looking forward to the locks…..

For those of you that have done river cruises, I welcome any tips or advice!

River cruising is great for those of you that may suffer seasickness as the rivers are usually calm and the ships are smaller so can get nearer to the ports to visit some great places in the world.

Of course, I will tell you all about this on my return so look out for that blog.

I just hope the sun stays out and we have some lovely weather as this will be my only trip so far this year.
