The Odyssey Beckons!

I am so looking forward to my fantastic trip on the Seabourn Odyssey.  As you are aware we do get the chance to go on some fantastic cruises and on Wednesday it is my turn to experience the most wonderful Seabourn cruises.

To give you a little insight into Seabourn.  They are a 6 star cruise line without a doubt. The ships only carry between 458 and 600 guests at a time, so very intimate with the most fantastic personal service around.  Everything is included with Seabourn from tipping down to drinks (although you do have to pay for massages, facials etc). Food is fantastic and they regularly get awards from within the cruising industry and Conde Nast traveller for the best small ship cruise line, the best luxury cruise line amongst many many others!

The Odyssey was and I quote, “a game-changer for the ultra-luxury segment” when it was launched in 2009. She carries 458 guests and has one of the biggest spas on any luxury ship. Only 229 suites on board (we do not call them cabins on a Seabourn cruise!) from ocean view, verandas, penthouse and owners suites – something I am sure for everyone.  Dining is mostly “open seating” however I would always recommend you to book your place if you fancy Sushi or The Grill by Thomas Keller.

Evenings on board are very relaxed. You can sample the casino, watch a fabulous show, enjoy a game of bridge, or just sit on deck with a drink in your hand, watching the stars above, yes, I can do that!

So, think of me on Tuesday as I fly to Barcelona and have a night there before embarking on the Odyssey on Wednesday lunchtime.  We then travel to Valencia, Palma and Mahon before I regrettably have to get off in Malta on the Monday and fly home.

I will of course let you know all about my most wonderful trip , so for now….

Till next time x
