Let’s Play…. Cruise Trivial Pursuit

One of the on board activities that many people play on a cruise are quizzes. My lovely client (let me say Mr B) loves to get them all set up when he is on his cruise and mentioned to me a while ago it would be fun to have one of our own, so this is for you!

I am sure a lot of you out there know many of these answers, however, you never know – so lets play! – no peeping now!

  1.  How many passengers on board a ship has to by law have a hospital and a Doctor on board?
  2. What cruise lines have ice bars on the ships, where you need a coat?
  3. Which ships have a hand carved carousel on board?
  4. Name me a cruise line which would be perfect for “dare devils”?
  5. Who is a friend of Bill W?
  6. Who or what is friends of Dorothy?
  7. Which cruise line has a Formula One race car simulator?
  8. Which cruise line has robot bartenders?
  9. Which ship has a ropes course?
  10. Which ship can you take your dog on board?
  11. What is the name of the cruise ship which has 165 total residences, including apartments and studio apartments and sails around the world?

And the answers are……

Any ship that has over 50 passengers is required by law to contain a hospital and at least one doctor.

Norwegian cruise line. Inspired by the original ice hotels in Scandinavia, where you chill out in a 17° arctic chamber where the bars, walls, seats and glasses are all made from ice. These can be found on Epic, Breakaway and Getaway.

Harmony Of The Seas and Allure Of The Seas

Dare devils would be Royal Caribbean – fancy flinging yourselves down the ziplines? – 82 feet long? – Nope, I am not a dare devil!

Friend of Bill is a Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for passengers, they are held on many cruise lines. The name is after the co- founder of the AA.

Friends of Dorothy are from the LGBT community. A great opportunity for  passengers to meet and mingle onboard.

MSC cruises have F1 simulator’s. Prezosia and the Divina that I recall.

RCL of course – sure many of you got that one!

There’s a ropes course on the Norwegian Breakaway, it has over 40 elements, including a plank that brings you eight feet over the ship’s side.

Queen Mary with Cunard. The dogs even have their own bit of deck to exercise.

And finally – the cruise ship is called “the world” – I have to say I cheated a bit on this one as its not really a cruise ship but a ship where people actually live!

Hope you enjoyed this little bit of “trivia” – if you have any of your own you would like to share with me, I would love to hear from you.

Till next time

x
