Princess Cruises has revealed award-winning actress, Hannah Waddingham, as the official Godmother of its newest ship, Sun Princess.
The stunning new ship will be officially christened during a star-studded ceremony in Barcelona Port on 23rd April 2024.
Waddingham joins an esteemed group who have served as Godparent to Princess Cruises ships, including: Diana, Princess of Wales (Royal Princess, 1984); Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales (Royal Princess, 2013); Audrey Hepburn (Star Princess, 1989); Sophia Loren (Crown Princess, 1990); Martha Stewart (Crown Princess, 2006), among many notable celebrities.
Hannah Waddingham is a British actor and singer, well known for her role as Rebecca Welton in Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso”. She also made her worldwide hosting debut in April 2023 at The Olivier Awards, followed by the BBC Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Waddingham’s upcoming films include Sony Animation film “Garfield” and “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two.”

The new 4,300 guest Sun Princess started its inaugural cruise season on 28th February 2024, and is currently sailing a series of Mediterranean voyages before debuting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for its first Caribbean season in October.
