Nappy holidays!!!!!!

TUI and Marella Cruise line giants are known for many things but for me they are a great British family brand. Now as a mum i’m sure you will agree planning a holiday with our little ones, the main attraction with children will be the swimming pool whether its on board a ship or a land based hotel.

So this week you can imagine my shock when Marella announced that children and toddlers who are not toliet trained, as well as those in swim nappies will now be banned from all to swimming pools for health and hygiene reasons!!!!!!!!!

After years of travelling with young children including babies I can kind of understand the rule for those children not toliet trained, accidents to happen. However I cannot see the problem with Swim nappies as they are obviously made for this purpose therefore should be safer.

On finding this out i was interested to find out the policy on this with other cruise lines and i was very suprised to find out that they are not the first and most cruise line will only allow children in the pools if they are toliet trained.

For more information on which cruise lines will  or will not allow babies in the pool, plus other information like …….

Do they sell baby food onboard?

Do they provide cots and highchairs?

Do they offer bottle warming ?

Baby sitting services?

please check out our handy guide to “Babies on board”

Do you agree with these measures?

Do you think maybe they should offer a seperate area for babies in swim nappies?

I would love to hear from you . If you would like to know any more information on Marella cruise please do not hesitate to call me on 0330 303 8260 or email me at [email protected]

Until next time
