Ships Booming For Royal Caribbean – 4 New Ships To Look Out For!!

Recently Royal Caribbean has agreed a deal for a Third Quantum Class ship, This will be the Sister ship along side Quantum Of the Seas launching in November 2014 and Anthem Of the Seas launching in Spring 2015. The third Quantum Class ship still yet to be named will Join the fleet in mid 2016. Along with this news Royal Caribbean have also announced plans for a New Oasis Class ship which will join the fleet sometime in 2016.

Quantum Class ships span over 16 decks and weigh 168,800 gross tons and will have a passenger capacity of 4,180 guests they also have 2,090 staterooms.

The Quantum Of The Seas which will make its maiden voyage in 2014 after she has her debut in Southampton so I am sure this is something we will all look forward to and its shows how much the British Market means to this major cruise line by showing of their new ships in the UK’s Biggest port of Southampton.

The Quantum Of The Seas will follow in the footsteps of its family Classes especially the Freedom and Oasis as these classes of Ships have shown so amazing innovation not yet seen before at Sea. Yes the Royal Princess may have the Sea walk but it was the Freedom class that had the cantilevered whirlpools which hoover out decks above the sea with a complete drop below. Bearing in mind Independence Of The Seas was launched in 2008 and we are only seeing the Royal Princess launched this weekend – June 2013. I am not saying that the Sea Walk is an Old Innovation however it was Royal Caribbean who designed this type of feature.

Quantum of the Seas will see features never ever done before at Sea and with its biggest feature being the North Star, an articulating observation arm designed around the inspiration of the London Eye. This amazing jaw dropping feature will take up to 13 people as high as 300 feet above sea level for the best views at Sea,

There was also be a simulated skydiving experience call the RipCord, as well as the popular Surfing machine – the Flow Rider.  One of the features the Quantum Class will not have is the open back as per the Oasis Class.

The name Quantum Class has been seem to be fitting class name for this class of ship as its is seen as a ‘Quantum Leap’ for the Cruising Industry.

The Quantum of the Seas will also feature a roller skating rink, a SeaPlex Bumper Car experience and a full sized Basket ball court all to add the Royal Caribbean’s Trademark – WOW.

The North Star will be available both at Sea and in Port offering guests the chance to sightsee without even leaving the ship, Premium packages will be available for Sunrise and Sunset, and if you fancy a Private flight you will be able to do so. Thinking of Proposing or maybe a wedding ceremonies on somewhere different.

On to the Staterooms, Quantum of the Seas will have Single Interior and Balcony staterooms to help with the every demanding Single Traveller market without the high single supplements, also family-connected staterooms that uses three separate cabin categories to give you more bedrooms and bathrooms  for everyone.

Quantum of the see will follow with the Flow Rider and Rock-climbing wall so don’t worry, that you are going to lose your favourite features on the current ships as Quantum Class will have all of these and more.

So what with the Quantum Of The Seas, Anthem Of The Seas, Quantum Class 3 and Oasis Class 3 we have a couple of exciting years with Royal Caribbean to look forward to. Keep an eye out as the Quantum Class still has loads of features yet to be released and to be honest more that we have to inform you on, These new ships will be a new Generation of Cruise Ships to grace our shores.
