Smart Cruise?

Royal Caribbean is launching for the new Quantum class ship a smart quicker and easier check in process and according to them it will only take 10 minutes to board the ship. Passengers will have to check in online prior to that and upload photo id and therefore have digital boarding passes already when arriving. It’s an excellent improvement using the up to date technology. Another feature will help passengers to track their luggage using their smartphones and also they will be able to make reservations with their tablets or smartphones, although this already exists with NCL. They will also increase the WIFI speed on board and they are claiming to have the fastest WIFI on board a ship. This is excellent news for customers and the cruise industry in general. As the Quantum ship is huge , this will hopefully reduce the queuing time to board, however this new technology may not suit all customers as we know some customers are elderly and not up to date with new technology, so I hope they are not going to be left behind.
