Royal go strawless

Royal Caribbean have announced that they are planning to stop providing plastic straws on all of their ships by the end of 2018.

This is excellent news as we know that anything plastic is getting a bad wrap at the moment.  Sir David Attenborough did one of his documentary’s regarding the amount of plastic in the sea and the environmental damage it has on plant and animal life in our ocean.

How many times have you been on board and a gust of wind has blown over your drink or blown away your towel, just think how many plastic items get blown overboard!

This is an excellent move forward by Royal Caribbean.  Cruise lines sometimes come under fire regarding what damage their fuel does to the  environment.  Maybe this straw ban from Royal Caribbean will make carbon footsteps towards the offset of any future environmental damage.
