Would A terror attack put you off from travelling.

With yet another terror attack in the popular country of Sri Lanka I wanted to know if this would put you off from travelling to these countries.

Before I started working for cruise.co.uk I worked for a company where Sri Lanka was one of its most popular destinations I sold. It is a stunning country with something for everyone. They have a mixture of white sandy beaches, Bucket loads of culture and Safari parks. To Add to this is very reasonable to book and even cheaper when you are over there. I wouldn’t have thought twice about going before. With the Uk Met office advice stating all but essential travel would you start to have second thoughts. I wouldn’t personally go this close to when the attacks have happened however it wouldn’t put me off from going in the future. I know for a lot of customers it would. I remember when the attacks happened in Tunisia It took years for people wanting to travel back there and even now the tourism isn’t nearly as strong as it once was. I think if anything after something like this happens it is a good time to go. The security will be stronger than ever before and the prices will be cheaper.

I think if we stop going to these places the attackers are winning and we have to suffer. Understandably we need to be cautious, However we cant let it stop us as we would end up not going anywhere.

I would like to hear from you guys on this one. Have you been to any places that have been attacked recently before and after the attacks. Have you noticed a difference in the tourism. Or maybe you are somebody that would be put off from going because of something you have read.

Get in touch and let me know your thoughts.
