Wouldn’t you just love to take a World Cruise?

They might seem unaffordable and simply a dream but I know many people who take one almost every year.

So, are World Cruises just for the super rich? No, they are not and here’s why.

Venice

It might interest you to know that many cruise lines – Cunard, P&O, Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, Crystal – first open up their cruises to people who want the full duration…      and with both past and new guests, they fill much space in this way. Good reasons behind this of course. It’s a far less expensive marketing and promotional exercise to sell in this way because the more people they get on the full cruise, the less space they have left to promote and hence lower costs for the cruise line.

What about cost? Well, you only need to look at P&O Cruising prices every year and you will see a World Cruise is much more affordable than you thought.

Cunard Sydney

Use my logic and you will see why.

Say the cost of a 100 night cruise is £9,500 per person. Don’t think of that cost.

Break the cost down into bite size bits and it becomes entirely more appealing and affordable. This cost breaks down to £95 per person per night. Now, think. World cruises typically leave the UK at the start of January and take you away from the worst of the British winter to sunnier and hotter climates around the world. Get away for that period and you’ll be saving on your home gas, electricity, telephone, car, food, entertainment, day to day living costs…     so, the bottom line is you could be saving half the cost of the cruise in the savings made on all these items. Costs will vary according to your personal circumstances but you get my point. Thrown into the bargain is the appeal of seeing the world.

Shorter trips can appeal too. Most cruise lines offer shorter sectors at competitive pricing, but you will always get the best offer, on the full trip.

Let me know what you think about world cruises.
