Does size matter?

A question often asked and when it comes to Cruising I think it’s a fair question. I booked myself onto the Celebrity Constellation, telling my Girlfriend it will put a smile on your face as it’s  bigger than what you’ve had before. So after having only experienced a Thomson Ship, she knew this was going to be bigger. Had high hopes for the Celebrity fleet and looking forward to the Concierge class and first time for a balcony. All going well, food great, service great, entertainment great even the ports of call all great. I’m thinking yep i’ve exceeded her expectations here………….. Then we pull into Cozumel and alongside Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. Made our Celebrity Constellation look like a tug boat in comparison.  I’m thinking yep I’ve exceeded her

Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. Made our Celebrity Constellation look
like a tug boat in comparison. Now she’s seen she can cruise bigger I’m
going to have to book her onto a larger ship as she tells me size does matter.

The ship was larger than the Thomson Dream, being the last ship I’d been on. I personally think the larger the better. I like the feeling that you have lots of space and not all stuck together with not many places to go. The feeling on a large ship of getting lost and can’t quite belive that you’re actually at sea is great. Of course the larger the ship, the more people and more crew but I think the ships are well designed and even if you’re on a much larger ship it doesn’t feel over crowded. I liked the Celebrity Constellation, conceirge class and a large balcony. The service I didn’t think was as good, the attention to detail wasn’t the same as I had experienced on the Dream but overall a much better ship. The Voyager class with Royal Caribbean is the largest i’ve experienced but I plan to do bigger. My girlfriend now knows that bigger ships do exist and has made it quite clear she wants me to take her on the biggest of them all. So to her size does matter!
