Another Refurbishment with Royal Caribbean

Hello everyone.  I hope you are all enjoying your summer and have lots of exciting plans.

The news today is Royal Caribbean will be completing a $165 million dollar refurbishment on another of their ships.  This time it will be Allure Of The Seas.

The makeover of this Oasis Class ship will be unveiled in 2020 and she will be setting sail from Barcelona in May 2020 for a 7 night Mediterranean cruise.  In november 2020 she will be heading to Miami for the winter season and will be visiting Royal Caribbean’s own private island Perfect Day at CocoCay.

So what features are on board this ship?  Here is a highlight of what to expect.

Allure Of The Seas will feature some of Royal Caribbean’s most popular attractions:

Ultimate Abyss

Plummet down 216 feet of twisting tunnels on the tallest slide at sea. Measuring 150 feet above sea level you can hit an average G-force of 1.46. You can race a friend, or enjoy the expressions captured in the photos at the end of each ride.  This is on my bucket list!

Splashaway Bay & The Perfect Storm

With colourful waterslides, water cannons, fountains, whirlpools and drench buckets there’s endless fun at Splashaway Bay. Also featured is The Perfect Storm trio of waterslides; Typhoon, Cyclone and Supercell.  Splashaway Bay is perfect for the younger children.

Crystal City & Apollo 18

For the more adventurous passengers, they will be able to enjoy the all-new glow-in-the-dark laser tag in ‘Clash for the Crystal City’. Apollo 18 is a lunar themed escape room that challenges passengers to escape before time runs out.  I personally love Escape Rooms so would definitely give this a go!

Dining & Drinking

There will be more casual drinking and dining options on board including El Loco Fresh which serves authentic Mexican food from fresh salsa carts. Yum!

Giovani’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar is where you go for Tuscan flavours complete with wood-fired pizzas and wine from the most renowned regions in Italy.  Who doesn’t love a pizza!

There will also be the all new Music Hall and Spotlight Karaoke.  The Spotlight Karaoke Bar offers both main stage and private room experiences along with music trivia and themed nights.
