Killing Two Birds With One Stone

Although I have never been, Australia and New Zealand are places that remain on my bucket list. I have friends out in these places but at the moment I just don’t have the luxury to take the length of time off work to visit these destinations properly. However if I ever get the opportunity, I would definitely break up the journey of a long flight up and fit in a cruise on the way.

Just recently I have booked many people for 2016 and 2017 who are making the journey to see family and friends in Australia, but instead of taking the 30 hour flight to get there, they are breaking the journey up. People are now flying to the Far East or South America which is approximately half of the distance and then completing the rest of the journey by cruise to see their loved ones. You may be thinking “great but is it it expensive?” The simple answer is NO!

To book a return flight to Australia or New Zealand these days with a reputable airline you’re talking in the region of £1200. The other day I had the pleasure of booking the following itinerary for my clients, for an unbelievable price.

Fly from Heathrow to Santiago.

2 Nights – 4 Star Hotel in Santiago on Bed & Breakfast, including the Concha Y Toro Winery Tour

22 Nights on board P&O Arcadia from Santiago to Sydney, including ports of Easter Island, Tahiti, Bora Bora and Auckland. Also including a city tour in Auckland.

Arrive in Sydney, where my clients will be staying with family for 4 weeks.

Return flight back from Sydney to Heathrow.

The price including all the above and transfers from airports to hotels and ports, was an unbelievable – £1999 per person.

So when you look how much it is just to book a return flight to Australia, and compare it to the above itinerary, I think you will agree it’s a fantastic offer. Not only are you visiting some wonderful places that you wouldn’t of dreamed of possibly doing or was feasible, you will also reach your final destination refreshed and without the jet lag. So when you work it all out you are only talking an extra £30 per night for all your food, entertainment and the opportunity of visiting different destinations.
